Masking fluid #229 – Masking liquid (20 g)

Masking Fluid No. 229 is applied directly from the bottle to create clean, protective areas where masking tape struggles (curves, fine details, raised areas). Its low tendency to run ensures clean and precise work. Compatible with Tamiya Color paints. 20g bottle.

Instructions for use:

• Degrease the surface (detergent), let it dry.
• Apply the liquid thinly from the bottle; let it dry (≈ 30 min in a thin layer).
• Make an incision in the area to be painted with a new cutter , then remove the parts to be painted.
• Paint , then remove the mask when the topcoat is completely dry .
  

Advice & precautions

• Apply only to a perfectly dry base .
• Thinner layers = faster drying and easier removal.
• When using water-based paints, proceed with caution (preliminary tests).
• On very complex surfaces, removal can be more difficult : incise the edges.
• If the nozzle becomes clogged , remove and clean it.
• Handle the bottle carefully (avoid leaks).
• Keep out of reach of children; test on a hidden area .
